The Rwanda Allied Health Professions Council (RAHPC) is a statutory body established under the RAHPC Act N°46/2012 of 14/01/2013 and is committed to protecting the public and guiding the professions.
Rwanda Allied Health Professions Council (RAHPC) is a national regulatory body responsible for the compliance of the rules, honor and dignity of allied health professions in Rwanda. It ensures compliance with the principles of morality, integrity and dedication essential to the practice of health professions and ensures that its Members/Registrants comply with their professional requirements, the laws and regulations governing the health profession.
To establish standards for training, practice, ethics and professionalism within the health professions through compliance, continued professional development, advocacy for enabling environment and enhancing public and stakeholder engagement.
The RAHPC is a statutory authority established by the Rwanda Allied Health Professions Law N°46/2012 of 14/01/2013, of the Laws of the Republic of Rwanda, to regulate the practice of Allied Health Professionals in the country. The Council aims at ensuring compliance with the rules, honor and dignity of the health professions, thus offering Rwandans and East Africans the most effective and efficient health care services by guaranteeing that allied health practitioners are highly qualified and that they continuously develop their professions.

The RAHPC is committed to excellence in the pursuit of the Council’s mission. Promoting, supporting and regulating the allied health professionals in Rwanda deserve nothing less.
The RAHPC has three organs mainly the National Council Board which is the Supreme organ; The Bureau which is the overseeing organ of Council's affairs and Technical Committees to support some expert activities. For the Council to carry out its mandate, there is a permanent secretariat (Executive Management) that runs on daily basis the Council's operational activities. Given the uniqueness of the RAHPC, there are professional advisory boards that deal with specific professional matters.
The Rwanda Allied Health Professions Council recognises its responsibility to conduct its business with judiciousness, transparency, accountability, impartiality and social responsibility, thereby up-keeping the interests of all its stakeholders and partners. We believe through our endorsement of the Code of conduct, and the confidence of the public and the profession in our system of regulation, we can continue to effectively deliver on our legal mandate.
For the Council to carry out its mandate, the Bureau that is our executive overseer is assisted in its daily activities by a permanent secretariat or executive management.
The Registrar is the Chief Executive Officer of the Council and supervises the daily operations, administration and running of the Council. He acts as liaison between the Council and its partners and sees that all the duties and proposals of the Bureau are implemented.
