On 14 May 2025, the Civil Hall at INES-Ruhengeri hosted a Public Talk titled “The Contribution of Professional Councils to Academic Performance.” The Registrar of the Rwanda Allied Health Professions Council (RAHPC) explained in clear terms how professional councils:
Set and enforce academic standards to ensure consistent quality
Prepare students for professional life by defining key competencies
Enhance institutional reputation through accreditation and oversight
Educators and policymakers then discussed practical ways for councils and universities to team up, ensuring students achieve their best.
Our audience walked away with fresh perspectives on how professional councils uphold academic standards, boost student readiness, and reinforce institutional credibility.
A heartfelt thank you to the RAHPC and everyone who joined us for this insightful session!
